Antique Wooden Dough Grain Kneading Bowl, Early 20th Century
Description
Large Antique Hand-Carved Dough Grain Bowl – Early 1900s
This beautifully hand-carved antique dough bowl dates to the early 20th century and showcases a rich, timeworn patina that only age and use can create. Traditionally used for mixing dough/grains, it now serves as a striking decorative vessel—perfect for styling on a table, console, countertop --you name it.
The bowl features an old repair on the back, which does not affect its aesthetic from the front or sides, nor its usability. There's also handwriting on the back, adding an extra layer of history and authenticity.

Styling
A must-have in any kitchen, IMO! Bread boards and dough bowls are my go-to styling accessories, and this one has that perfect, lived-in charm. I’d lean it against a kitchen counter wall for that effortless “I’m vintage, but not trying too hard” vibe—or layer it with a few old french bread boards to complete the European kitchen look.
It works beautifully on its own, too—on a counter or dining table—adding warmth and that perfectly aged patina we all love. Personally, I’d style it with fruits and veggies on the island, or even use it on the kitchen table as a decorative bowl. However you use it, it brings charm in spades.
Repairs
Repairs have been done to the back of this product to fix a crack; it is not visible nor does it affect the aesthetics or usability of the bowl.
