No two centuries leave the same mark, and this bowl wears its history exceptionally well.

Disclaimer: After researching at the backstamp more closely and comparing it to documented examples, I cannot attribute it to a specific maker (ie. Marple, Turner & Co. etc). The ribbon-style "Asiatic Pheasants" floral cartouche was used by many Staffordshire potteries during the 19th century, often with only faint or partial maker initials. Without a clearly legible maker's name or initials, it's more accurate to describe it as an English Staffordshire Asiatic Pheasants bowl with its original pattern backstamp.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0636/3489/9095/files/ByMae_CountryHouse_Antique_Asiatic_Pheasant_Bowl_2.jpg?v=1784844985
